One North East chief executive, Alan Clarke, said: “Newcastle Brown Ale is an iconic brand for North East England and enjoyed all over the world – statistics show it is the leading imported ale into the USA. The prospect of it being brewed elsewhere is extremely disappointing.”
In the end, it didn't matter. The oligopoly that bought Newcastle sold the American rights off to some shit brewery in Chicagoland. How many people are buying that? Hahahahaha fuck ya'll
